Pengaruh Pembelajaran Fisika Menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Peserta Didik Di Smp Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap prestasi belajar fisika peserta didik pada materi usaha dan energi di SMP Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa capaian peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Pada kelas eksperimen, persentase capaian indikator memberikan penjelasan sederhana sebesar 60,06%, membangun keterampilan dasar sebesar 60,32%, dan menyimpulkan sebesar 35,22%. Pada kelas kontrol, persentase capaian indikator memberikan penjelasan sederhana sebesar 42,44%, membangun keterampilan dasar sebesar 39,06%, dan menyimpulkan sebesar 20,99%. Dengan demikian, model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar fisika peserta didik kelas VIII pada materi usaha dan energi. Penelitian selanjutnya direkomendasikan untuk melibatkan sampel yang lebih luas, menggunakan desain pretest-posttest secara konsisten, serta menghitung N-Gain atau effect size agar besarnya pengaruh PBL dapat dijelaskan secara lebih akurat.
