Language is one element of human life that is constantly evolving, following the development of human communication needs in various aspects. Developments that occur in language and communication needs require language learners to develop their linguistic competence and performance. In this case, a language teacher must be able to provide language learning that develops and is able to develop students' language skills. The use of textbooks and the selection of appropriate learning methods can certainly help both teachers and students to achieve the expected developments. The introduction of linguistic concepts that may still be foreign to students is also important to make them aware that language is a broad and deep field to be studied. This issue contains studies on the use of textbooks in learning to speak, speech acts in literary works, the use of cooperative learning methods, and Phytonymic Phraseology and Linguocultural Features of Paremiological Units. The articles published in this publication are expected to provide a new perspective and refresh our linguistic knowledge.
