All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Iptek Olahraga dan Rekreasi (JIPOR) undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted work.

1. Initial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure it meets the journal’s focus, scope, and formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines or fall outside its scope will be returned to the author(s) without review.

2. Double-Blind Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject matter. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the process to maintain objectivity and fairness.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

• Originality and significance of the research

• Relevance to the field of Sports Science and Recreation

• Clarity and organization of the manuscript

• Adequacy of references and literature review

• Methodological soundness and data validity

• Ethical considerations and compliance with publication ethics

3. Review Outcome

After the review process, one of the following editorial decisions will be made:

• Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted as is or with minor revisions.

• Revisions Required: Authors are asked to make moderate revisions and resubmit.

• Resubmit for Review: Major revisions are required, and the manuscript must undergo a second round of peer review.

• Decline Submission: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in JIPOR.

4. Revision and Resubmission

Authors are given a specific timeframe to address reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript. The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or by new reviewers depending on the extent of the revisions.

5. Final Decision

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions submitted.

6. Publication

Accepted manuscripts will be scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue of JIPOR, which is released biannually in April and October.
