THE INFLUENCE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSES ON ENTREPRENEURIAL MOTIVATION OF STUDENTS OF CAHWALA MIDWIFERY ACADEMY, NORTH MALUKU

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the impact of the midwifery entrepreneurship course on the entrepreneurial motivation of midwifery students at Cahwala Midwifery Academy North Maluku. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. It explored the perceptions and experiences of students after completing the entrepreneurship course. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 students from the 2023/2024 academic year who had completed the entrepreneurship course in their second semester. The results of the study indicate that the entrepreneurship course had a positive impact on students. These positive effects included increased self-confidence, the emergence of innovative ideas, enhancement of soft skills such as leadership and teamwork, and a shift in mindset regarding the midwife profession as potential entrepreneurs. Additionally, students were motivated to continue learning and developing their entrepreneurial abilities.
