THE IMPACT OF INFLATION, ECONOMIC GROWTH, REGIONAL MINIMUM WAGES, AND ECONOMIC CRISIS ON THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN INDONESIA
Abstract
Unemployment is a complex problem that is influenced by various determinants that interact. This study aims to examine the determinants of unemployment in Indonesia. This research uses secondary data from BPS and the World Bank from 2000-2023. The analysis tool uses multiple linear regression with the condition of a classical assumption test. The results of the study show that together and partially inflation, economic growth, UMR, unemployment in the previous year, and the economic crisis have an effect on the open unemployment rate for the period 2000-2023. The economic crisis in Indonesia does not directly increase unemployment, especially when balanced with effective economic policies that can stabilize the unemployment rate in Indonesia
